How the MLM dream was sold to me vs reality

What I was told: Work 10 hours a week and earn six figures within 2 years. Everyone will want to join once they see the products. Your warm market of 200+ people is a goldmine. The products sell themselves. What actually happened: I worked 30+ hours a week and earned $200 per month. Most people said no or ghosted me. My warm market dried up in 3 weeks. I had to actively sell and most people compared prices to Amazon. The gap between the MLM dream and reality is enormous. Share your dream vs reality experience.

You nailed it. I spent 2 years in network marketing and the only thing I gained was a garage full of unsold product and a smaller bank account. But I did learn valuable sales skills that I now use in a real job.

I think you are painting with too broad a brush. Not all MLM companies are the same. I have been with my company for 7 years and earn a consistent $4,000 per month. The key is finding a company with products people actually want to buy.
