The MLM exit interview - what companies do when you try to leave

When I told my MLM company I wanted to deactivate my account, here is what happened: 1) My upline called me immediately to talk me out of it. 2) They offered me a discounted product package to stay active. 3) They reminded me about the team I would be abandoning. 4) They told me about upcoming promotions I would miss. 5) They suggested I just go on a break instead of leaving. 6) When I insisted, they made the actual cancellation process unnecessarily complicated. Has anyone else experienced resistance when trying to leave an MLM? Why do they make it so hard to quit?

I have been in network marketing for 10 years across 2 companies. Currently earning about $5,500 per month. Here is the truth nobody tells you - it took me 4 years of consistent daily work before I hit $1,000 per month. Most people quit before reaching that point.

Before joining any MLM, ask to see the income disclosure statement. Not the success stories on stage - the actual numbers showing what percentage of distributors earn at each level. If the company does not publish one, that is a massive red flag.
